1. If you were to describe your novel in three words, what would they be?

Teenagers, abilities, quest?

2. There seems to be many good looking guys in your book (such as Lucas, James, and even Adam), what are the ingredients for writing about a "good looking" guy?

I haven’t really thought about that before. I suppose what Makenna, the protagonist learns that these ‘good looks’ do not necessarily equate to attractiveness. James is dull and arrogant while Lucas is initially a ‘jerk.’ As the story goes on we begin to learn more about these characters and understand why they are this way and it is through this I believe they become more attractive. Ben for example, may not be great looking but he is a sweet and thoughtful character. I guess stereotypically teenage girls tend to be attracted to mature muscular looking guys and I suppose that is what Lucas, James and Adam reflect.

3. What influenced you to write this novel?

I was experimenting with various genres but just couldn't come up with something really intersting. I was writing a lot of 'chic lit' because i love romance stories, but i found writing it a bit boring. Then I read the Twilight series and this opened up a myriad of possibilities in the paranormal and fantasy genre. I had a picture in my mind about the teens stumbling across the box their ancestors leave them and the two main characters Lucas and Makenna. It kind of all just went from there.

4. In your book, each individual in the main group have some special power, if you could have any power, what super power would it be?

This is a great question! Speed flexibility would definitely come in handy on the soccer field (I play for a local woman's comp) and certainly Telekinesis would be wonderful when i can't be bothered reaching for things! Although I would have to say Rapid Knowledge Acquisition would be the most useful- there is so much out there that I would love to learn but just can't retain it all in my brain!

5. What are you working on next? Can you tell us about it?

I have a few projects underway, but the one I am concentrating on at the moment is an adult fantasy/ scifi novel with the working title of Intuition. I hope to have this completed by the end of 2011 with a view to publishing in early 2012. I also have ideas for a sequel to A Season Of Transformation but I need to develop this further.
