30 Day Book Challenge (13)

Thursday, September 13, 2012

I'm slowly failing Photo A Day Challenge, I know.  It's just when classes do not want to be nice to you, they aren't.  But I do have a few hours before I have to go back to memorizing speeches and studying for tests.  I have made up my mind to also join yet another challenge, 30 Day Book Challenge from Jude at In Between, this one about books (so you won’t think I am abandoning my life-long passion).  This is a site about books, is it not?

I do remember I have offered you extra entries to all the contests this month.  Therefore, if you play along with the challenge too, then you get three extra entry points.  That’s right, three points!

All you have to do to get those extra points is tell me in the comments, what book would you like to forget and read all over again so you can fall in love with it once more?

Book that I want to forget and read all over again so I could fall in love with it again

Nevermore by Kelly Creagh
Cheerleader Isobel Lanley is horrified when she is paired with Varen Nethers for an English project, which is due—so unfair—on the day of the rival game. Cold and aloof, sardonic and sharp-tongued, Varen makes it clear he’d rather not have anything to do with her either. But when Isobel discovers strange writing in his journal, she can’t help but give this enigmatic boy with the piercing eyes another look.
Soon, Isobel finds herself making excuses to be with Varen. Steadily pulled away from her friends and her possessive boyfriend, Isobel ventures deeper and deeper into the dream world Varen has created through the pages of his notebook, a realm where the terrifying stories of Edgar Allan Poe come to life.
As her world begins to unravel around her, Isobel discovers that dreams, like words, hold more power than she ever imagined, and that the most frightening realities are those of the mind. Now she must find a way to reach Varen before he is consumed by the shadows of his own nightmares.
His life depends on it.--Goodreads
Why: I am in love with this book.  I can still remember how awesome some of the scenes were.  I still remember how it all made me feel.  I would cry at some parts and laugh at others.  The whole problem is that I remember too much.  I want to forget, so I can feel all the raw emotions that I felt during the first reading, happen to me again.  This book was fantastic and if you haven't read it, you need to.  You can read my review HERE.

What is the book you want to forget and read again to fall in love once more?

  3. I am reading Nevermore for the first time right now and I am loving it.

I would probably have to say I would like to forget so I can fall in love with either the Hunger Games or Harry Potter. I wish I could go back and relive those emotions I felt for the first time again.
