I HATE YOU WITH ALL THE LOVE IN MY HEART.

I’m glad Tris realized that she does have friends that care about her. But her and Al…I don’t know, I don’t think she likes him like that. I mean I still think that she doesn’t even know if she chose the right faction for crying out loud! Sorry Tris, but you need to get over the fact that you miss your family. I got it the first time. If she doesn’t start acting more Dauntless, instead of being Dauntless Tris, she will be Factionless Tris. And I don’t want that for her. I actually like her. So, Tris, SUCK IT UP. But at least she gets to go on a field trip; that will help to clear her head. I hope.

Let's talk about Peter.  He is such a bully and a snob and everything in between.  This is the first time that we get to see what Peter is like, besides a few times in the beginning.  But there is more to come about him and I really don't like him.  Even in the end and he may or may not have redeemed himself, I still have no sympathy because, yes, I realize that Dauntless initaites have to fight each other but the fact that Peter goes out of his way to call Tris names and spray paint her bed is just mean and immature.

A few things about Peter and Tris' fight:  Loved the fact that Tris focused on staying on her feet, rather than beating Peter up.  I think my mind would be consumed with thoughts of how to beat Peter since he is being such a jerk.  However, Tris worries about staying upright, maybe not to win but to show Peter that she won't back down that easily.  Love it.  Another thing: the fight becomes so bad that Four has to leave the room.  The exact reason for leaving is unclear because we are stuck knowing what Tris knows.  However, this also tells us that she seems hyper aware of Four and what he does.  Interesting.  She mentioned how Four didn't seem too happy about the fight to begin with which is probably another reason to dislike Eric, who probably made up the fighting list.  

Oh, yes.  The hospital scene.  I don't have much to say about it except that the notion of Al and Tris even together irks me.  I don't like it even though I know what happens.  I thought Tris was a bit too harsh and fast to say that she could never be with a guy like that because just because he cries every night is no reason to think him weak.  This is a transition for everyone and people deal with it in different ways.
