Cassandra craves drama and adventure, so the last thing she wants is to spend her summer marooned with her mother and stepfather in a snooty Massachusetts shore town. But when a dreamy stranger shows up on their private beach claiming it's his own—and that the year is 1925—she is swept into a mystery a hundred years in the making.
As she searches for answers in the present, Cassandra discovers a truth that puts their growing love—and Lawrence's life—into jeopardy. Desperate to save him, Cassandra must find a way to change history…or risk losing Lawrence forever. --Goodreads
Cassandra is forced to spend the whole summer with her mom, little brother, and step-dad at his rich estate which has its own private beach.  Oh, horrors, I know.  While her friends from school are off on their various internships or glamorous summer jobs, she is stuck with her family feeling empty and rebellious.  It’s not until she meets Lawrence, an intriguing boy, does she start to feel like she was meant to be here.  Lawrence is from the 1920s.  And Cassandra is from 2015.  A complication, to say the least.  When Cassandra discovers Lawrence’s pending demise, she must do everything in her power to stop the murder from happening and saving Lawrence.

I don’t read a lot of time travel dramas, but let me tell you that this one: Until We Meet Again is not a book to pass up.  This is certainly a time travel like no other.  It’s original, magnificent, and everything a reader could ask for in a romance.

Renee Collins is a genius.  When there are books about vampires, readers expect blood (and sparkles, maybe).  When there are books about zombies, readers expect death.  When there are books about time travel, readers expect traveling to another time.  Right? Isn’t that how it’s supposed to work?  Romance with another from a different time.  Collins takes the time travel genre and morphs it to an individual spot.  This spot, the private beach, can hold two different time periods at once.  Collins’ concept is so original, my questions are endless.  I want a sequel just about the private beach.

Cassandra is sassy and sometimes a bit too cliché.  Her witty comebacks make for some laughs.  Lawrence is, of course, the bee’s knees.  Renee Collins captured his 1920s personality perfectly, but when it came time to switch perspective, introducing readers to the period as a whole, the atmosphere and some other characters were lacking.  The different perspectives between chapters flowed nicely into each other.  It created a fast read that draws out emotions.

The ending was outstanding.  As much as the ending didn’t close the exact way I wanted, the end of the novel was clever.  It makes me want to read it all over again.

Until We Meet Again is an extraordinary novel, a new-favorite, that will blow your mind.  Renee Collins steals readers with her masterful writing which will glue you to your seat. Until We Meet Again will have you counting down until the next time you give it a reread.
