10 Books I Meant to Read in 2017 But Didn't
Tuesday, January 09, 2018I do this post almost every year. It's the post where I tell you ten books I should have read by now but haven't. And it's supposed to work: supposed to embarrass me enough that I go and devour them in the next possible second. I did some research -- all of two minutes -- and found that in last year's post: 10 Books From 2016 Still Out in the Cold, I was able to read 7 books from that list in 2017. So, success!
Since I was able to embarrass myself enough last year with the many books I still haven't picked up, hopefully by this time next year I will have read all ten books on this list! At least, I can dream. Top Ten Tuesday is created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish (but will be moved to That Artsy Reader Girl next week). This week's topic is: Top Ten Books We Meant to Read But Didn't.

Ooooh I recommend so many of these!! When Dimple Met Rishi, Turtles All The Way Down, A Darker Shade of Magic, More Happy Than Not, Allegiant and The Diviners are all amazing!! :D Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteIve not read any of these, but Turtles All the Way Down is the one I keep seeing posted. I've yet to read anything by John Green, so I guess I'll have to catch up!
ReplyDeleteI did the same with Turtles All The Way Down. I can't believe I still haven't read it! What is taking me so long? X(
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing the Dark Artifices series for quite a long time now and I still haven't mustered up the courage to read it. I felt like the Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices were amazing. I just don't want to hate this one :(
I don't know. I guess I'm worried that I'll not like the series as much as I liked the others, which keeps me from picking it up...
Allegiant was the saddest book ever! But the rest of your choices are great!
ReplyDeleteI *really* want to read 'Dimple' still, and this authors new book also sounds darling! Reading more of Morgan Matson's books is high on my reading goal list too. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your list! I have read some of these and really enjoyed them so I hope you do as well. More Happy Than Not is one I would like to read as well, I have never read a book by Adam Silvera.
ReplyDeleteWhen Dimple Met Rishi was cute (just not entirely for me) and Shadow and Bone is a great series (although nothing can compare to Six of Crows). I also get worried about books when they are really hyped, so I'm quite glad I read A Darker Shade of Magic before the hype became very big. I'm obsessed with the worlds Victoria Schwab creates and I hope you fall into the world just as hard as I did!
ReplyDeleteI also need to read Turtles All the Way Down! I love John Green and I expected my library to get a copy of this book ASAP but alas they haven't yet. More Happy Than Not is the only Silvera book I've yet to read, but they definitely are heartbreakers. Plus The Diviners has been has been on my TBR for years and I need to pull myself together and get copies of this series. For some reason I can't find matching copies of the series anywhere other than in the US (and shipping is way too expensive).
I hope you get to all of these this year :D
